According to the meeting at the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation, the Organizing Committee of the Municipal Strategies Contest 2018 allowed 28 contestants, divided into three subgroups, to take part in the semifinals of the main category. All contestants will showcase the strategies for socio-economic development of their municipalities on September 25 in Moscow. Two winners from each subgroup will reach the finals of the main category and compete for the first place within the Strategic Planning Leaders Forum on October 22 in St. Petersburg.
Subgroup of 170 to 300 thousand people: City of Yakutsk (Republic of Sakha (Yakutia)), Urban District “City of Yoshkar-Ola” (Republic of Mari El), Petrozavodsk Urban District (Republic of Karelia), Nizhnekamsky District (Republic of Tatarstan), Starooskolsky Urban District (Belgorod Region), City of Biysk (Altai Region), Balakovo District (Saratov Region), Almetyevsky District (Republic of Tatarstan), Zlatoustovsky Urban District (Chelyabinsk Region).
Subgroup of 50 to 120 thousand people: City of Obninsk (Kaluga Region), Bugulminsky District (Republic of Tatarstan), Kirovsky District (Leningrad Region), Bakhchisaraysky District (Republic of Crimea), Tomskу District (Tomsk Region), Mirninsky District (Republic of Sakha (Yakutia)), City of Kirovo-Chepetsk (Kirov Region), Sosnovoborsky Urban District (Leningrad Region), Pavlovsky District (Krasnodar Region), Kinel Urban District (Samara Region).
Subgroup of less than 50 thousand people: Urban District “City of Pyt-Yakh” (Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Region –Yugra), Chernushinsky Urban Settlement (Perm Region), Tatishchevsky District (Saratov Region), Pervomaisky District (Tambov Region), Kargasoksky District (Tomsk Region), Kosh-Agachsky District (Republic of Altai), Nikiforovsky District (Tambov Region), Novosheshminsky District (Republic of Tatarstan), Volchansky Urban District (Sverdlovsk Region).
