Experts of the Leontief Centre – AV Group Consortium showcased the Regional Competitiveness Index at the round table “Best Practices to Bolster Development and Increase the Competitiveness of Regions”.

Alexey Krylovsky, Managing Director of the Leontief Centre – AV Group Consortium, Chris Tan, Managing Director of PEMANDU Associates, Mikhail Bunchuk, Coordinator of Regional Work in the Russian Federation at the World Bank, and many others attended the event.

Moscow was placed on the first rank in the index, St. Petersburg ranked second, then the Moscow Region, Republic of Tatarstan, Krasnodar Region, Sverdlovsk Region and Krasnoyarsk Region.

According to the index compilers, Moscow is the most attractive region for investors and leading representatives of human capital. The capital is attractive largely due to implementation of the largest federal programs, significant business and infrastructure projects.
