On the third day of the Strategic Planning Leaders Forum, a traditional interactive seminar in a series “Modern Practices of Strategic Planning” was held, organized by the Leontief Centre - AV Group Consortium and the Russian Economic Developers Association jointly with PEMANDU Associates.

In the first part of the seminar, Alexey Krylovsky, Managing Director of the Leontief Centre - AV Group Consortium, presented the report on the principles for integrating regional and municipal strategies into the system of federal programs and projects ensuring the implementation of the new May Decree.

Participants learned firsthand about 8 Steps to transform the economy and the public administration system, and how to find the “true north” for your region – from Idris Jala, CEO of PEMANDU Associates and Founder of Big Fast Results (BFR) Methodology, which showed fantastic results in Malaysia and other countries.

Alexey Kozhevnikov, Senior Vice President of the Russian Export Center, presented an impressive case of effective use of PEMANDU methodology for developing an export support strategy.

The second part of the seminar was reserved for group work. With the help of moderators, participants figured out which goals from the new May Decree are most relevant for their region and municipalities, how to set priorities and select indicators by which you can track progress in achieving goals. The seminar was attended by about 60 people.
