Nowadays, creative ideas and innovative solutions are becoming not just a hallmark of the regions’ development, but the core of the world’s economic and socio-cultural processes. New economies increase the international investment attractiveness of cities and countries, allow them to compete for highly skilled labor and talented young people, and also provide an opportunity to change the export structure and to influence development of the urban environment and cultural landscape. In Russia there is still a lack of creative initiatives, and entrepreneurs don’t always have proficient knowledge and skills to market creative goods and services. Within the session, participants will discuss the challenges of the lack of competence in new economy, as well as new educational models and tools necessary to expand professional potential and to support creative professionals. The discussion will be attended by Russian and international experts, specialists in economy, urban planning, media and culture, creative entrepreneurs and other practitioners.
